The tool, named Navigate, offers a total overview of the most efficient deep sea and short sea connections of 550 ports in the world.
It also links these to the available rail and inland shipping connections.
“Navigate has been developed especially for companies s eeking smarter ways to plan their container transports,” said Anacin Kum, CEO of Hutchison Ports Sohar.
“With the addition of more operational data, Navigate will become an increasingly valuable resource to improve efficiency within the supply chain,” he added. “It will also provide visible and convenient options for importer and exporter groups in Oman and beyond, who generally rely on logistic providers.”
