Full Container Loading (FCL)

For the convenience of our customers, AAC Cargo offers both full container load (FCL) and less-than-container load (LCL) shipping options. LCL shipping involves sharing container space with other consignees who are shipping cargo, while FCL shipping allows you to reserve an ISO-standard container for your cargo exclusively.

Containers are available in several different sizes. The most common choices are 20' Dry and 40' Dry, but there are longer and taller containers available as well. It is also possible to reserve a refrigerated, flat rack or open top, and 'heavy tested' container to fit unusually shaped or specialty cargo. At AAC Cargo, we can locate and reserve the type of container that will best suit your products.

In most cases, consignees choose FCL transport when they have enough cargo to fill an entire shipping container. However, some people choose to reserve an entire container even if their cargo will not completely fill it. There are several reasons you may want to choose FCL for your cargo.

Benefits of using FCL include:

Cost-Effective Shipping for Large Loads: Shipping rates are typically lower for FCL them LCL, making this the most economical choice for large loads (typically defined as 12 or more pallets).

Easier Tracking: Because your FCL freight is all in one place, it's easy to track it as it travels from port to port.

Better Security: LCL shipments usually require more points along the transport chain; for example, a container may need to pass through a consolidation center where additional cargo is added. FCL is more secure because there are fewer stops and fewer shipping agents opening the container.

Goods Will Arrive Together: With FCL, all the goods in your order will arrive together, which can make the unpacking and transfer process faster.

Faster Unloading Time: Because your FCL is under the account of just one carrier and one consignee, customs can usually process the transaction relatively quickly. Once the cargo has been processed, it can be unloaded and will continue on to its final destination.

Reefer Container
            Refrigerated ISO containers, these are temperature regulated shipping containers that always have a carefully controlled low temperature. They are exclusively used for shipping of perishable substances like fruits and vegetables over long distances.

Flat rack Container
            With collapsible slides, these are like simple storage shipping containers where the slides can be folded so as to make a flat rack for shipping of wide variety of goods.

Open top Container
            With a convertible top that can be completely removed to make an open top so that materials of any height can be shipped easily.

Dry storage Container
            The most commonly used shipping containers; they come in various dimensions standardized by ISO. They are used for shipping of dry materials and come in size of 20ft, 40ft 40HCand 45ft.

Saudia Cargo transports 175 Tons of WWE Super Showdown equipment

Saudia Cargo has successfully provided all its logistical capabilities to bring the WWE wrestling ring equipment of the show that were forwarded by Sound Moves via Saudia Cargo freighters Share by  Logistics Middle East Staff Wed 12 Jun 2019 04:13 PM Saudi Airlines Cargo Company transported 175 Tons of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) equipment all the way to Jeddah, from Maastricht in the Netherlands for the WWE event that took place at King Abdullah Sports City in June. DECATHLON ROLLS OUT PARCEL LOCKERS IN BELGIUM

Sports retailer Decathlon is working with bpost subsidiary Cubee to roll out parcel collection lockers at its stores in Belgium. The sports retailer and bpost are introducing collection points at 12 stores across Belgium by the end of 2019. The first points will be at stores in Maasmechelen and Olen, with Antwerp and Wavre to follow in the short term. The machine in the car park of the Maasmechelen store has 58 individual lockers. Built by Cubee, the technology allows customers to collect and return online orders from certain internet shops. Customers are sent an email or SMS with the collection code once the courier places the order in the Cubee parcel machine. In the future, Decathlon wants to use the machines to offer a same-day click and collect service.
